BACKGROUND

The Innovation & Black Entrepreneurship Series seeks to spotlight, endow, and uplift Black professionals and burgeoning entrepreneurs with the strategic tools to explore and launch new ventures through featured keynotes, interactive workshops, dynamic panel conversations, and peer-to-peer learning and networking opportunities.

Conference participants will learn from prominent business leaders (e.g., venture capital practitioners, successful entrepreneurs) and esteemed Wharton faculty about best practices on how to strategically explore and launch their own ventures.

WORKSHOP MODULES

The Series will have two keynote speakers and three core modules focused on design-thinking, capital fundraising, and growing and scaling ventures. Tentatively, the modules will discuss:

• Module 1 | Innovating by Design: Developing the Next Big Idea
• Module 2 | Securing the Bag: Bootstrapping, Angel Investors & Venture Capital
• Module 3 | Beating the Odds: Growing & Scaling your Venture
