Drew Wade

Founder/CEO, Turbohorse

Mr. Wade is the Founder/CEO of Turbohorse, responsible for setting the vision and company strategy, and leading overall expansion into mobile and vertical enterprise markets. He brings a wealth of entrepreneurial and venture-based experience from banking companies and consulting roles, which translates to a unique strength in business and product venture undertakings.

Wade has worked in the global telecom sector for nearly a decade, first gaining exposure to the industry with leading investment banks, including Chase Securities and Bear Stearns in New York City. Previous to Turbohorse, he worked with the Structured Finance Group of Fifth Third Bank, Chicago, where he executed deals for leading middle market private equity sponsors. Prior to joining Fifth Third, he was an independent strategy and financial consultant focused on emerging markets and venture-backed companies. A key client included Econet Wireless International, a major wireless carrier based in South Africa, led by Mr. Strive Masiyiwa.

Mr. Wade holds a B.S. in finance from the College of Commerce at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he was President of the Greater Beta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity; and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
