David Hopkins

VP of Community Development Banking, PNC

David Hopkins is a Vice President and Territory Manager for PNC Bank’s Community Development Banking Group. He is responsible for PNC banking services and regulatory compliance in low-to-moderate income communities in the Western PA territory. Another aspect of what David does for PNC is identify and deliver grants to organizations that operate programs that provide neighborhood improvement, education and recreation resources for at-risk youth and career and health strategies for adults. David joined PNC in 2002 as a project manager in PNC’s Executive Leadership Development program.

Prior to PNC, David worked with MBNA America as a marketing strategy consultant, Kaiser Permanente as a business consultant in their resource management group, and United States Fidelity and Guaranty Insurance, where he started his professional career, in several roles ultimately serving as the finance and operations manager for the California operation.

In 2002, David graduated from the Wharton School of Business with an MBA in Information Management Strategy and Finance. David attended Guilford College in Greensboro, NC where he majored in economics and minored in sociology.

David grew up in Baltimore MD, but now lives in Pittsburgh with his wife of 17 years, DeVona. They have 2 daughters, Darrien (10), Dailyn (3) and a son, Donovan (1) and are expecting their 4th in March.
