Barron Channer

VP of Development, Peebles Corporation

Barron Channer is Vice-President of Development for the Eastern US & Caribbean region at The Peebles Corporation. In this capacity, Barron is instrumental in sourcing and structuring real estate investments as well as overseeing ongoing projects in the region. In addition to his real estate focus, he is actively engaged in supporting new business opportunities for famed entrepreneur, R. Donahue Peebles.

Barron actively participates in various charitable and professional organizations. He serves as a board member for Baptist-South Miami Hospital and Chairman of the Diaspora Vibe Cultural Arts Incubator. Recently, Barron was appointed to the Advisory Board for CB Richard Ellis' African American Network Group. In support of his homeland, Mr. Channer is active is numerous charitable initiatives supporting Jamaica including The American Friends of Jamaica – South Florida Gala (www.theAFJ.org), Fastest Nation (www.FastestNation.com) and the Jamaican Diaspora Board - South Florida. He has been recognized as a "South Florida Top 40 under 40 – Black Professional".

Mr. Channer received a Masters of Business Administration with real estate concentration at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree with cum laude honors in Computer Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
